This cake slicing kit makes it easy and safe to torte cakes into thin layers ' as little as .25' thick. The slicing ring features 7 cutting guides, allowing a cake layer to be torted into up to 8 layers. Place the slicing ring around the cake to be torted; the ring locks in place in one of two slots to accommodate cakes up to 10' or 11' diameters. Then slice half way through the cake along one of the cutting guides, using the included serrated knife. Rotate the slicing ring and continue to cut through the cake layer. Use the included cake lifter to lift and move each cut layer.' Stretch' the slicing ring around an inverted 12' cake pan to slice a 12'Dia cake layer.
